X
The darkest hour of the night
takes my hand and lays me down
i don't much put up a fight
lest i tumble to the ground
over grass and mossy head
round the leaves of summer's eve
mother night doth make my bed,
close my eyes, and give reprieve
press my muscles to the earth
let the weight of light decay
tell the world I've proved my worth
promise it another day
as a sigh i leave this place
asking night to close the blind
as we sleep now face to face,
i've lots to say.... but never mind.
end of day
let's just unwind.
